WooCommerce BuddyPress Integration – Next Version Coming!

A new major version of the WooCommerce BP Integration WordPress Plugin is coming end of November!

We are in the middle of a huge update with many improvements. The plugin became quite famous and we got a lot of nice feedback for it, thanks for that at this point!

We have collected all ideas and feedback users gave us and have built them into the new version.

In this article, we want to let you know what we have done so far and give you the option to let us know if we forgot something!

What we did so far.

#1 – Many users asked us to create an admin options page to select what parts of the plugin should be active.

We did this at first.

Now you can turn off:

“Cart” Tab
“History” Tab
“Track my order” Tab
“Shop” Tab inside “Settings” for the activity stream settings
WooCommerce BuddyPress Profile sync: This will also remove the Billing Address – Shipping Address Tabs from Profile/Edit

#2 – We’ve been often asked how to add other WooCommerce extension pages into the member profile shop tab as a sub-tab

We have built a tool for this.

With the new version, it will be easily possible to add new pages to your member profiles and integrate other plugin pages directly with BuddyPress.

#3 – Some users asked us how they could integrate marketplace plugins like “WooCommerce Product Vendors” or any forms (for example for support)…

We have built a solution for this, too.

With our newest WordPress plugin BuddyForms you are able to create front-end forms for product creation/editing and display all vendor products in the profile. Or include any other plugin which is based on custom post types.

We will write up detailed documentation and how-to with examples for the most popular WooCommerce plugins. 🙂

Other changes

+ Automatic updates:
from now on you will get automatic update notifications right in your dashboard if new versions are available

+ Added more hooks!
