Custom Community – some quick update fixes

Just released a quick update to CC Pro 1.12.1 as it will fix already most of the reported bugs.

There are still a few annoying things open yet, but they will be fixed within the next days.

Features and improvements
One small but very handy feature was added in this update:
You can now add stuff in the head or footer via a theme option.
For example a script for Google Fonts or Analytics..

* If you purchased Custom Community already *
Simply login here and use the download link for Custom Community in the sidebar as usual. The newest update will be downloaded automatically.

Free version

The free version 1.11 is just approved and will go live within the next hours or days (automatic process at wordpress review).

More updates now!

Same as for x2, we will increase the frequency of updates from now on. We will have more often quick updates published to have your projects move on.

We will also increase the time frame for testing new features before they will be added to a live update. This will save us all time and hassle.

    // Update help when downloading from Github:

    Unpack and rename the folder to “custom-community”, then upload to your WordPress.
    Make a backup to be 100% sure you can go back if something goes wrong.

    Update via FTP:
    – go to wp-content/themes/custom-community
    – delete all contents in this folder “custom-community”
    – upload the new contents into that folder

    Update via backend:
    – compress your new custom-community folder to a zip file
    – go to your wp-admin and click on APPEARANCE -> THEMES
    – delete the old theme (your settings are safe, they will not be reset)
    – click on “upload” and upload the new zip-file from your computer
    – activate it…

    • Hi there,

      hope you can help me before I’m going crazy…just kiding.
      I’m using WordPress 3.4.2, today I updated Custom Community Version 1.12 (free), some settings have been changed, but not a big issue, casue still in testing phase, how ever my problem ist that the slideshow is not working anymore, and I have no idea how to fix it. Indeed I also don’t know how to use “Github” looks like you posted there a solution?
