Hi, I’m an ultra minimal starter theme called “_tk”.
I’m based on “_s” by Automattic and Twitter Bootstrap Version 3. Turn me into the next, most awesome, WordPress theme out there.
UPDATE – 02 SEP 2017
Meet Larry, Our New Flagship Theme. Lightweight and uncluttered.
Code is Poetry.
Twitter Bootstrap, the WordPress Way
Use me, if you like to combine WordPress and Twitter Bootstrap the cleanest way. I have all the WordPress minimum required files and styles by the Underscores Theme, along with seamless Twitter Bootstrap Integration. And with seamless, I mean really seamless. For example:
WordPress Default Widgets
They got 100% the Bootstrap style, without touching their code or adding extra CSS that will make you rip your hair out later when it comes to styling your site.
WordPress Menu
It’s the WordPress Menu, but wrapped in 100% Bootstrap HTML and CSS, up to the dropdowns!
WordPress Comments
The comments are adapted to Bootstrap, without rewriting any core code or adding ugly CSS overrides.
Just crisp and clean code.
You can use Bootstrap Web UI Kits, like the Flat UI
Use Bootstrap Web UI Kits, like Flat UI
I’m a theme meant for hacking, so don’t use me as Parent Theme. Instead try turning me into the next, most awesome, WordPress theme out there. That’s what I’m here for.
My ultra-minimal CSS might make me look like theme tartare but that means less stuff to get in your way when you’re designing your awesome theme.

This theme is brilliant, thank you so much for creating it!
One question, how would I remove the sidebar from pages but not the posts? I’ve tried removing
from the end of header.php and putting it in index.php as a first step towards developing custom templates for my pages and posts, but this destroys the formatting.
I realise this is probably a stupid question, but I can’t solve this issue.
Thanks :)

Love it. Saved me from the endless Roots theme tweaking and rewriting. Thank you.
Is it possible to get the LESS file for Bootstrap settings? Variables? Mixins? Or are those available only on the premium themes?
Appreciate all your work.
Konrad Sroka says:
hey guys, we made a new version which includes the LESS files now, so you can also chenage variables, mixins or breakpoints ;) boom – happy new year – konrad
stemie says:
Thanks for this.
I have a problem, how can I make the navbar collapse on tablets (ipad) currently it only collapses on smart phones? I’ve read about @grid-float-breakpoint but can’t see that in this theme.
I’d really appreciate your help.
Thanks

How did you get the calendar to adopt the bootstrap table class automatically?
Konrad Sroka says:
..with a jQuery walker ;)

When I typed “underscore me bootstrap” into Google I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. And I found the best! Thanks!
Pilar says:
Hi there! Thank you very much for this great theme. I’m starting with it, I may use it for many projects :)
But I can’t get the mixins to work, don’t know why…
I’m adding this to my style.css:
.sidebar-padder{
.make-row();
}
aside.widget{
.make-xs-column(4);
}
What am I doing wrong? Thank you!

For anyone debating whether or not to use this theme, just ask yourself this:
Do I want a theme that is supremely clean in markup, superbly commented, and only implements the bare bones bootstrap and wordpress theme elements without making a bunch of ridiculous arbitrary decisions I’m going to have to code around later?
If the answer is yes, you want _tk.

Thanks for making a brilliant theme, very much appreciated.
I’m trying to set up my local environment using grunt. I’ve installed grunt with npm but all the dependencies don’t seem to link correctly. What is the best way for setting up grunt with bootstrap within you theme, do you use a certain package or..
Thanks
James

I’m quite new to Bootstrap (so apologies if this is a dumb question), and I like to use Compass for my css. I see that standard Bootstrap uses LESS, but that you can get an alternative Bootstrap that works with Compass. So my question is, will this great looking _tk theme work out of the box if I try to incorporate Compass for my css? Thanks!
